We are now taking orders for our grass-fed Icelandic lamb, certified organic chicken and heritage turkey for the 2012 season!
With
11 bouncing lambs our lovely ewes gave us this season and our first
round of chicks (150 of them) in the brooder we are, once again, knee
deep in baby animals. Our first chicken delivery will be at the end of June, contact us for more info and check us out on facebook for the latest.
We
are planning on growing 600 roaster chickens this season, 30ish
Thanksgiving turkeys, and 11 lambs. If you are (like my cousin Emily)
wondering what in the sam hell is up with EGGS here's the deal: we have
designed a fairly large elevated and mobile coop that will do well year
round here in the flood plain. We are applying for a couple of grants to
fund construction, and are planning on starting a little egg CSA in
June of 2013. IF you are interested in becoming an egg CSA member, please contact us- it will help us determine demand and plan our future flock.
Cheers,
